My Yoga classmate, Tham Fong Peng invited me and my family and Siow Peng and her hubby, Louis to her wedding lunch at One Degree 15 Marine Club which is situated at Sentosa Island. It was a nice event. The food was good and the restaurant view was scenic. And most importantly, the bride is very beautiful. A pity we didn’t get a good picture with her using our camera. So, will have to wait for the photos from the bride. Anyway, we had a great time. Mahsuri too had a great time running around and looking at the yachts and boats.

This evening, Kamal and I were invited to the opening of the solo exhibition by Chinese artist Feng Zheng Jie at Singapore Art Museum. A truly inspiring art exhibition in quite a while.

To match the occasion, I wore my new Cheongsam bought at Yue Hwa. The beauty about these grand openings are that nobody stop us from taking photos with the masterpieces. I suppose its because there are simply too many important people i.e. rich collectors and patrons that’s also taking photos.

This is one of the orders we had received from a company for their festive greetings. This year is the year of Rat and we are celebrating the festive season from 7th Feb till 21st Feb (15 days in total). Kamal penciled the concept and I did the watercolouring for this illustration for a department of AIG - a multinational financial institution.

A caricature card is always very well-received for any festive occasions because it is highly personalised and light hearted. This gives the receiver a good laugh as they try to recall the likeness.

Someone called and request for a black and white caricature to be done of a Japanese guy who stays in Hawaii. He is a doctor and very active in sports especially in windsurfing. So, i drew him windsurfing near an island. And because he has a good physique, i also add a bit of fun by drawing a little crab pinching on his tight hot butt (ouch!). The customer likes the drawing very much.

 It’s a gift requested by the subordinates of Cental Police Division for one of their bosses. They wanted a fun and sporty approach soI give them a soccer game theme. They love the outcome. I was also one of the two carciaturists for their annual Dinner and Dance. The response is overwhelming. Generally, they are very happy with my services.

Kamal and I were at the dinner and dance event for CWT, a big transportation company and their staff are mostly truck drivers and container movers. The event was held in the loading bay of a massive warehouse complex at the far end of Singapore (Tanjong Penjuru). The queue was long for our caricature services and we were drawing non-stop for 2 hours. Later, due to over-whelming response, the event organiser extended an hour more. I never imagined we’d be such a hit!

Placing thirty-two people in one composition is not an easy task. I won’t encourage it but since this is for a group of happy people from a close-knit organisation bidding farewell to their beloved boss, well I guess I’ll give it a shot. To my surprise the A2 size black and white caricatures turned out well, reflecting the warmth of their working environment and an endearing gratitude to their boss.
